Prairie's Edge Humane Society is a non-profit organization
dedicated to the promotion of animal welfare. We believe that
animals have basic rights that must be recognized and protected.
Through community involvement we strive for public awareness
and support of these rights.

Our name is changing!

The Rice County Humane Society will be changing its name to

Prairie's Edge Humane Society.

New name, new website (any day now!), new energy,

but the same commitment to helping pets!

 You visit our animals online or at the shelter, falling in love with so many of them, yet recognizing it may not be the right time for you to add to your family by adopting a new pet.  Show your love by sponsoring that special animal who has stolen your heart.

One donation of $25 sponsors a shelter animal for a month.

The donation helps us provide veterinary care, good food, and attention to the animals' behavioral needs. In addition, all adoptable animals are spayed or neutered.
For your donation you will receive a picture of your favorite shelter animal,
a certificate of appreciation,and the knowledge that you have
helped the pet who stole your heart!

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

The annual meeting of the RCHS/PEHS Board of Directors will be held Saturday, February 13, at the Community Resource Bank of Northfield. The bank is located at 1605 Heritage Dr. in Northfield. The meeting will begin at 11 a.m., and is open to all members of RCHS/PEHS.
